Description

The Dot wall light is a simple, compact wall light that has a timeless image, making it a perfect fit for almost any décor. The sleek brass structure offers a classic twist to the design, supporting the frosted glass globe shade which gives a softer and more ambient glow to the light. Perfect for the bedroom, a hallway, or the living room, the Dot wall light is a versatile and practical addition to your home.

Our Stylist Says

I love the simplicity and elegance of this wall light, making it a versatile choice for a variety of interiors. The brass finish adds warmth and a touch of luxury, perfect for both contemporary and vintage-inspired spaces. It works particularly well in bedrooms, hallways, or alongside mirrors where soft, ambient lighting is desired. For styling, consider pairing it with other brass accents or muted colour palettes to create a cohesive look. Practical tips include installing it at eye level in living areas to enhance the cosy atmosphere or above side tables in bedrooms for functional yet stylish illumination. Its understated design makes it easy to incorporate into both modern and traditional schemes without overpowering the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
