I particularly like this Doris armless module for its clean lines and soft cord-chenille finish - the neutral grey makes it a versatile building block in both contemporary and Scandi-inspired schemes. It works equally well as a solo occasional chair or as part of a larger modular sofa arrangement. To style, add a textured cushion in a contrasting tone (think deep teal or burnt ochre) and layer a lightweight throw over one arm. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
