Coming from the Muse collection by Jonathan Adler, this vase pays homage to the figure of Dora Maar from whom it takes inspiration. A French painter and photographer who remains primarily in our memories for being the muse and lover of Pablo Picasso. Sculptural and atypical, the vases of Jonathan Adler have the peculiarity of bringing out in relief, poetically and surreally, parts of the body (face, nipples etc) borrowed from these idealised women whom our greatest artists took as their muses. Each piece is made of unglazed porcelain, with a matt finish that enhances the effect produced by the 3D pattern.
I love this piece for its sculptural quality and bold personality; it transforms an everyday vase into a statement object. The face-inspired design makes it versatile enough to suit modern, eclectic, or even minimalist interiors, adding a touch of artistic intrigue. To style, consider pairing it with simple foliage or fresh-cut flowers to let the shape stand out, or even display it solo on a shelf or mantel for maximum impact. Its striking silhouette acts as both a decorative piece and a functional container-so don't be afraid to experiment with different placement options to highlight its unique design.
