Designed in 1954 by Birger Dahl and crafted to exacting standards today by Northern Lighting, the award-winning Dokka Pendant Light has a rich history that was re-launched in 2007 in a white hue. The first Norwegian lamp to receive a Golden Medal Award at the prestigious Triennale di Milano, the Dokka Pendant Light is instantly recognisable by its smooth contours and precise proportions. Finished with a white paint over durable steel, the Dokka Pendant Light is built to last, paying homage to the intricacies of the original design while updating it for the modern user. A pioneer in the development of contemporary Scandinavian lighting, Birger Dahl is an award-winning designer known for his streamlined forms and use of strict geometric shape, usually softened with gentle contours to create the icons of the mid-century design landscape that we still celebrate today.
