Expertly handcrafted in the UK from strong timber, this solid platform top divan base provides the perfect foundation for your mattress, enhancing comfort and extending its life. Upholstered in luxurious plush velvet fabric, it brings a soft, elegant finish to any bedroom. Choose from no drawers, 2 drawers, or 4 drawers for a versatile storage bed solution that keeps your space organised. Our Stylist Says
I love this plush velvet platform base for its sleek, modern look and versatile charm. Its solid silver hue lends itself well to contemporary, minimalist, or even luxe interiors, and the velvet adds a touch of softness that elevates the overall aesthetic. It works particularly well in bedrooms aiming for a sophisticated yet understated vibe, and is a great foundation for layered bedding and textured accessories. Practical styling tips include pairing it with crisp white or pastel bedding for a fresh look, or embracing richer tones like navy or emerald for a more opulent feel. The lack of drawers means it’s best suited for spaces where under-bed storage isn't a priority, making it perfect for creating a clean, uncluttered setting.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
