Our Stylist Says
This divan base is a practical choice for a variety of interiors, thanks to its clean lines and neutral finish. I love it for its built-in storage, with two drawers that are perfect for organising bedding or seasonal clothes, making it ideal for smaller bedrooms or spaces where maximising storage is key. It works well in contemporary, minimalist, or even classic interiors when paired with a variety of headboards and bedding styles. To style it effectively, consider adding a statement bed frame or a colourful duvet to create contrast, or keep it simple with neutral linens for a sleek, modern look. Practical, functional, and versatile-this base is a solid foundation for any bedroom setup.

About Downtown
Centuries of History and Growth
Downtown isn't just another store; they're a company with over two centuries of history! The journey began in the Lincolnshire town of Boston in 1804, when visionaries John Oldrid and Richard Hyde started their retail adventure by purchasing a modest retail unit.
The timeline of their growth is nothing short of impressive. From the launch of Downtown Boston in 1981, the grand opening of Downtown Grantham in 1989, to the launch of their transactional website in 2009, Downtown has evolved and adapted while preserving its essence.
Today, they proudly operate successful stores in Grantham and Boston, complemented by an expansive garden centre, continuing their tradition as a family-owned business that has thrived for over 200 years.
Unrivalled Selections and Expertise
When one thinks of Downtown, variety and quality come to mind. From exquisite furniture brands like Stressless, Parker Knoll, and Ercol to household names such as Smeg, KitchenAid, and Dyson, the store offers an expansive range catering to every need and desire.
Whether one is revamping their garden, refreshing their home interiors, or searching for the latest fashion brands like Barbour and Joules, Downtown is the ultimate destination.
Digital Presence and Personal Touch
Understanding the evolving needs of their customers, Downtown has established a strong online presence. Their website showcases over 20,000 products, offering the convenience of browsing from home and either opting for click-and-collect from their Grantham site or delivery across the UK.
The entire process, from warehousing to distribution, is managed from the Grantham site, ensuring seamless service. And it's not just about transactions; it's about building relationships.
With a team that takes pride in every order and goes the extra mile, the personal touch that Downtown offers is unparalleled. Their family ethos and dedication to customer satisfaction truly distinguish this independent business from the rest.
