Description
Created for the Mayor of Barcelona's office in 1995 by a trio of renowned Spanish designers, the Diana Lighting family is comprised of a table lamp and a floor lamp in two heights in a selection of finishes. A perfectly versatile piece, the Diana Lighting Collection incorporates satin nickel or brass finish with a parchment diffuser and linen shade, alongside an integrated dimmer switch for a distinctly elegant lighting effect. A slender, fluid design, the Diana Lighting Collection is elevated on a large metal base with a slim stem, with a shadow-free shade, aiming to create 'an image that is as timeless as can be'. Renowned design duo Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá enlisted the help of Alfonso's younger brother to create Diana, the lighting concept of Pascual Maragall's office, the mayor of Barcelona throughout the Olympics. A redesign that kept Barcelona at the centre of the world stage, the Diana lamp family that was showcased in the mayoral office was created by Santa and Cole, who remain the lamp's sole manufacturer.
