I’m a fan of the Devon for its clean lines, muted charcoal finish and handy drawers - it feels both contemporary and timeless. It works particularly well in monochrome or Scandi-inspired bedrooms, and sits neatly against a pale wall to let the dark tone stand out without overwhelming the space.
To style it, top with a couple of woven baskets or a ceramic lamp in a contrasting hue, and layer a soft rug underneath to soften the look. Pair with light oak or birch-veneered pieces to balance the depth of the charcoal, and use slimline brass hooks on the side for hanging scarves or jewellery.
