I’m a fan of the Devon wardrobe in charcoal because its clean lines and muted finish slot effortlessly into both contemporary and more traditional schemes. It works particularly well in Scandi-inspired bedrooms when paired with pale linens and natural-wood accents, or in industrial loft spaces alongside metal-frame beds and exposed brick. For practical styling, add a slim shelf or a row of hooks on one side to maximise vertical space, then top with a simple plant or a couple of framed prints to soften the look. Inside, use matching woven baskets on the lower shelf to keep scarves and smaller accessories tidy, and consider under-tray lighting to make mornings that bit easier.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
