Description
Handmade from natural rattan, the Loft chair from Desser is an attractive design for bedrooms, living areas, garden rooms and summerhouses. Arching cane creates both a comfortable and visual piece of furniture. Hand-sewn in the UK with care and attention, the cushions are made from boucle fabric, offering a cosy texture. Strong and durable, natural rattan is low maintenance and easy to keep clean. Wipe the furniture clean with a dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Keep the furniture in a dry environment and avoid leaving it under direct sunlight for prolonged periods. The furniture's colour lasts longer if moved around a conservatory regularly to protect it from direct sun in the same spot. Sustainably sourced in Indonesia, rattan is fast-growing compared to wood alternatives and, as a companion crop, its farming encourages the preservation of forests. Every part of the rattan vine is used. Outer rattan cane is used for attractive weaving and the solid core is steamed to manipulate it into beautiful furniture shapes. Assembly is easy with the product arriving in two pieces. The top and bottom just need to be simply screwed in together.

For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
