Description
Handmade with a traditional wicker weave and a timeless shape, this Centurion footstool from Desser features intricate woven and curved cane detailing, creating an attractive and practical piece for an orangery, summerhouse, conservatory or living room. The sweeping laminated double rattan arms are smooth. The cushion is made in the UK, in Manchester, with a wrapped finish to help prevent wear and tear. The footstool complements matching rattan furniture in the Centurion range. Strong and durable, natural rattan is low maintenance and easy to keep clean. Wipe the furniture clean with a dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Keep the furniture in a dry environment and avoid leaving it under direct sunlight for prolonged periods. The furniture’s colour lasts longer if moved around a conservatory regularly to protect it from direct sunlight in the same spot. Sourced in Indonesia, rattan is fast-growing compared to wood alternatives. Every part of the rattan vine is used. Outer rattan cane is used for attractive weaving and the solid core is steamed to manipulate it into beautiful furniture shapes.
