Description
This Basket rug from Design House Stockholm was designed by Lena Bergström as she pays gentle tribute to the Swedish craft traditions. The design is reminiscent of classic baskets made from birch bark. Here made from wool, this carpet is handcrafted through a special technique where the material is hand-tufted in many directions before it is cut and braided. The technique produces a vibrant graphic pattern with a great deal of depth. An exclusive and highly stylish rug, the multicoloured threads lend it a lovely and lustrous look. Straight lines meet soft transitions in the Basket rug that culminate in a classic Scandinavian style with a soft yet vivid expression — all draped in a stylish shade.
