Denby's Kiln range is a true celebration of British craftsmanship using a soft calming palette of chalk white and hues of oatmeal and grey that sit at ease together. The unique freckling glaze effect that is completely different on each item makes every piece of Kiln one of a kind, yet combine to create a collection that is uncomplicated, easy to live with and love. The shape of this small bottle vase is inspired by the early Salt glaze bottles produced by Denby in the late 19th century. Its miniature form makes it perfect for displaying a single stem and it comes presented in a contemporary Denby gift box. Handthrown by Denby's Master potter in their iconic Derbyshire pottery using locally sourced clay, each piece of Denby stoneware is handcrafted using pottery techniques passed down through generations and can pass through as many as 20 pairs of hands. Every item of pottery is expertly glazed by skilled craftsmen and the distinctive glazes are renowned for their practicality, durability and chip resistance.
The Denby Kiln Bottle Vase has a simple yet versatile design that works well in both contemporary and rustic interiors. I love how its natural tones and understated texture can add subtle warmth to a room without overpowering other décor. It’s especially effective when styled with a few dried or fresh flowers in neutral shades, keeping the overall look refined and understated. Practical styling tips include placing it on a mantelpiece or side table, either alone for minimal impact or grouped with other vases in different shapes and heights to create visual interest. Its understated aesthetic makes it a reliable piece that can adapt to changing seasons and styles.
