I’m a fan of the Pipralla stand for its bold, geometric base and crisp white finish - it slips effortlessly into Scandi, contemporary or industrial-style living rooms. The open centre shelf is ideal for stashing games consoles or a neat stack of coffee-table books, while the V-shaped legs give the TV real presence without overwhelming the space. For styling, add a low-leaf plant at one side to soften the lines, and hide cables in a slim channel organiser behind. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
