Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was a leading figure in Italian design protest. He is considered the father of post-modernism. Zanotta is reissuing some of Alessandro Mendini's historic pieces: an exciting rediscovery of the legacy of Italian design. Thanks to a collaboration between Zanotta and the designer's heirs, supported by the know-how of experts, it has been possible to give new life to emblematic pieces that marked their era.
The Dealbata 9551 vase is a striking piece that combines functional design with sculptural appeal, making it a versatile addition to both modern and eclectic interiors. Its bold, geometric form and crisp white ceramic finish create a contemporary statement, while also offering a nod to mid-century modern aesthetics. I love how it can stand alone as a sculptural object or be used to add a subtle touch of greenery or flowers in a minimalist setting. It works particularly well in clean-lined kitchens, living rooms, or even as a bedside accent. For styling tips, consider pairing it with warm woods or textured textiles to offset its stark white surface, or situate it alongside other design objects for a curated, layered look. This vase is ideal for those seeking a functional art piece that’s both stylish and conversation-starting.
