I’m a fan of the Welles dining table for its clean lines, generous proportions and rich oiled-walnut top - it sits beautifully in both pared-back Scandi schemes and more textural, lived-in spaces. The slim black metal legs lift the table visually, so it doesn’t dominate a room, and the walnut surface adds instant warmth.
Styling tip: anchor it with a low-pile grey or natural-fibre rug and a statement pendant lamp hung just above the tabletop. Keep accessories minimal - a cluster of matt ceramic vases or a pair of sculptural candleholders - and introduce contrast with woven placemats or a linen runner. It’s tough enough for daily family meals yet refined enough for weekend dinner parties.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
