Designed by Matthew Hilton for De La Espada, the large 392L. R Coniston Round Mirror boasts a Danish oiled walnut frame. A pared-back design defined by beautiful joinery and quality materials, the Coniston Mirror looks striking whether it’s hung horizontally or vertically. The design itself is named after Coniston Water in England's Lake District, with the land that surrounds the lake being reimagined through the mirror’s timber frame.
I love the simplicity and craftsmanship of this round mirror; its natural wood frame adds warmth and a touch of organic design that works well in both contemporary and Scandi-inspired interiors. It’s an versatile piece that can be used as a focal point in entryways, above fireplaces, or in bedrooms to create a sense of space and light. For styling tips, consider pairing it with minimal accessories for a clean look, or surround it with other natural textures like rattan or linen to enhance a relaxed vibe. Hanging it at eye level or slightly higher will maximise impact and reflect light effectively, making smaller spaces feel brighter and more open.
