Designed by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, the Capo series was originally designed for the Italian restaurant Capo in Shanghai, where the interior design concept was based on a basilica and possessed an old world charm of masonry enclosure appointed with beautiful detailing. This handsomely crafted chair embodies those qualities of heritage. Manufactured by De La Espada in Portugal using traditional construction methods, the Capo's simple and modern form is enriched with tailored details that evoke old-world sensibilities.
I really like this dining chair for its clean, timeless silhouette combined with the warm oiled walnut finish, which adds a sense of richness and natural texture. It works well in both contemporary and mid-century inspired interiors, especially when paired with neutral-toned tables and soft textiles. To style it effectively, consider adding upholstered cushions in contrasting or complementary colours for extra comfort and visual interest. Its understated elegance also makes it versatile enough to sit alongside different décor styles, from minimalist to more eclectic schemes, making it a practical yet stylish choice for dining spaces.
