To craft the graceful trumpet flower shape of our Datura Vase, molten metal is poured into a mould in a process called die casting. It’s then filed by hand and sprayed with colour while emery is used to achieve the polished, metallic black finish.
I love this Datura vase for its striking metallic black finish and sculptural form, which make it a versatile piece for a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in modern or industrial spaces, where its dark tone can add depth without overpowering the overall aesthetic. For styling, I recommend using it as a standalone statement piece or filling it with minimalist foliage, such as long-stemmed grasses or dried flowers, to complement its architectural shape. Its substantial presence also makes it suitable for sideboards or mantels, where it can serve as a focal point. Practical tip: its dark hue makes it forgiving of dusty or muted floral arrangements, so it’s easy to maintain a chic look.
