The Edited Life - Darwin Luxury Velvet 2 Seater Sofa. The Edited Life sofa range shows there’s no need to compromise on quality, style or comfort when it comes to making sustainable choices. The stunning Darwin 2 Seater Sofa made from a luxury velvet is the perfect way to add stylish seating into your home. The luxury eco-velvet is superior to many others on the market. The pile is dense and matt, looking more like cotton than polyester, but unlike cotton pile velvets, this luxury fabric is also easy to care for. The pile will not crush, meaning your sofa will always look smart and inviting. And the best bit is, the fabric is made from 100% recycled materials, so it’s a guilt free luxury. Live well. Mean well. Be well. Many of us want to live simpler lives, to reduce our impact on the environment, and improve our well-being. As we become more aware of our surroundings and understand how our choices contribute to the world around us, more people are choosing to consume less and curate more. The Edited Life introduces a new era of thoughtfulness in the home, with an understated collection of pieces chosen for their simple beauty, quality craftsmanship and innate usefulness that will last beyond any trend. As this product is made to order, it can only be returned if faulty or if not manufactured to the specifications given. For more information please view our full returns policy. Here.
Our Stylist Says
I love the charm of this velvet two-seater - it's a versatile piece that works well in both modern and classic interiors. The olive green shade adds a touch of colour without overwhelming a space, making it suitable for earthy, botanical, or even contemporary schemes. Its plush velvet texture invites comfort, so pairing it with layered textiles like throw cushions or a cosy throw can enhance its inviting appeal. Practical styling tips include placing it against a neutral or patterned wallpaper wall to make the colour pop, and adding a sleek side table or statement lighting nearby to complete the look. It works particularly well in smaller living rooms or cosy reading corners, where its compact size and rich fabric can make a real statement.

A Legacy of Home Comfort Dunelm's Journey
Dunelm isn't just another store; it's a British legacy. Kicked off in 1979 by the dynamic duo, Bill and Jeany Adderley, what began as a simple market stall in Leicester transformed into one of the UK's most prominent home furnishings retailers.
Fast forward a bit, and their first brick-and-mortar store sprang to life in Leicester in 1984. Dunelm didn't stop there, making waves throughout the decades, innovating and expanding, launching an online shopping experience, and securing its place on the London Stock Exchange.
More than Just Products...A Personal Touch
With a whopping 177 stores across the UK, Dunelm isn't just about selling items; it's about crafting experiences. Many of their stores come with cosy Pausa cafes, offering a space to relax and refuel.
And if you've ever felt like joining a community, they've got dedicated Facebook groups for each store locality. It's not just about buying a product; it's about being part of the Dunelm family. Their online platform seamlessly complements their in-store experience, promising product availability and varied delivery options.
Sustainability and Future Thinking
But Dunelm is more than its rich history and expansive product range. At its core, the company is committed to creating that heartfelt sensation of truly being at home. They've placed a solid emphasis on making responsible, long-term decisions that prioritise our environment and cherish future relationships.
85% of their growth over the past five years is credited to market share gains, underscoring their commitment to sustainability and quality.
With over 50,000 products, many of which carry the Dunelm brand or are exclusive, they promise style, quality, and an increasing emphasis on eco-friendly credentials.
