For a flair of dark elegance in your interiors, our Darcy Fringed Easyfit Shade is perfect – featuring a beautiful, traditional style with a gorgeous arrangement of soft, cascading fringe from which the light within provides a warming glow. Finished in dark blue, this uniquely fashioned lighting accessory adds a mood lighting touch to your interior arrangements, and is perfect for use in the living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

The Darcy fringed shade is a fantastic statement piece that combines a fun yet sophisticated vibe. I love how its blue hue adds a pop of colour without overpowering, making it ideal for contemporary or coastal-inspired interiors. Its fringed design lends a touch of texture and movement, which works especially well in relaxed living spaces, bedrooms, or even dining rooms where you want to create a welcoming atmosphere. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral walls to let the shade stand out, and keep other decor minimal to allow its unique texture to take centre stage. It’s also a versatile choice that can easily complement both vintage and modern furnishings.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
