Description
A futuristic and unusual style lamp with surprising biomorphic lines. Cyborg is a wonderful example of Karim Rashid's extravagant style. The sensual, soft lines break with our very strict and linear everyday environments. The resolutely modern design of this lamp uses the language of curves, close to the high-tech spirit, the aeronautical world as well as plant, animal and human shapes. Cyborg is made from a single moulded aluminium piece. Inside the dome, the opaline polycarbonate diffuser filters light for optimal and non glaring lighting. This lamp has a tactile switch: just touch the lamp body to turn the lamp on and off. For Karim Rashid, it is important that objects appeal to our sensual side, that it retains a certain truth and is not necessarily "over-embellished, the object needs to be human. That's what the designer means by "essensualism".
