Description

The Crushed Velvet Throw in Navy is a stunning addition to a modern living room, bedroom, or garden seating area. This stylish crushed velvet throw adds a comforting and soft feel to your sofa or bed and helps to take off the chill on a cooler evening. This velvet blanket gorgeously adds to any styled room, whether a light neutral living room or dark scandi bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

The navy crushed velvet throw offers a luxurious touch that adds depth and richness to any space. I love how its soft, textured finish can elevate both modern and traditional interiors, making it perfect for layered bedrooms or cozy living areas. For styling, drape it casually over a bed or sofa to introduce a tactile element that invites relaxation. Pair it with contrasting textures like linen or smooth silks, or complement it with metallic accents for a contemporary look. It’s a versatile piece that works well in monochrome schemes or as a bold pop of colour in more neutral schemes, bringing both comfort and elegance to your decor.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
