Description

Part of our Croft Collection, the Iona range is crafted from European Oak and Rustic Oak structured veneers. Each considered piece highlights the natural beauty of the grain and knots, showcased throughout a delicate inlay chevron design. Finished in a specialist matt lacquer and brushed out grain to keep the wood looking natural and dry, this range offers a timeless and functional accent to your home. This convenient side table is a tactile piece for your living room. Its sturdy, rounded profile has a beautifully natural quality that will suit both modern and traditional settings. Croft Collection is beautiful and considered. Neutral in palette, tactile by nature, it evokes a relaxed feel you’ll love to come home to forever. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Iona side table for its pared-back silhouette and rich, dark wood finish - it brings a quiet sophistication without dominating a room. Its tapered legs and subtle starburst grain make it equally at home in a Scandi-inspired living area, a mid-century lounge or a moody industrial corner. For styling, keep it simple: top with a slim-base lamp or a small plant on a marble coaster, add a neat stack of books and you’ve got a perfectly balanced vignette. Its compact size also makes it ideal as a bedside surface or as part of a grouped arrangement alongside a larger coffee table.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
