Description

Design. The Cresswell Corner Garden Dining Set with Fire Pit is cosy yet practical and will allow you to fully enjoy your outdoor space with friends and family. The spacious corner sofa and three stools will happily accommodate to you and your guests offering great support thanks to the deep-filled fibre and foam cushions. He leading feature of the Cresswell Corner Garden Dining Set is the dining table; its gracefully tapered out base displays the beautiful rattan weave, whilst the protective glass top will ensure that its high quality will last. Complete with a fire pit for that high end luxurious feel, perfect for when the night starts to get a little chilly.

Our Stylist Says

The Cresswell corner set is a great choice for creating a relaxed yet stylish outdoor dining space. I love its neutral grey weave and fabric, which makes it versatile enough to complement various garden styles-from contemporary to traditional. The Fire Pit function adds a cosy, inviting element perfect for cooler evenings. For styling, consider layering with outdoor cushions in muted tones or soft textures to soften the look and introduce some colour. Pairing it with Portuguese or Mediterranean-inspired accessories can enhance its summery feel, while a clean, minimalist approach suits modern gardens. Practical tips include pairing with a lightweight outdoor tablecloth for easy outdoor dining and placing it on a natural stone or teak deck to elevate its aesthetic appeal and ensure longevity.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
