The Cray cushion features one of William Morris's most intricate designs, originally created in 1884. Known for its complexity, the pattern required 34 separate printing blocks, making it one of Morris's most luxurious creations. Part of the 'River' chintzes series, Cray was inspired by a boating expedition along the Thames in the summer of 1880. Now printed on velvet in splendid colorways, this cushion is complete with a plain reverse and an elaborate tasselled edge, adding a touch of sophistication to this historic and richly detailed piece. Product Dimensions: 55x55cm. Composition: 100% Polyester. Goods must be unused and returned in their original packaging. If sealed for health/hygiene reasons they must also be returned unopened with seals, stickers and tags intact. This product will be dispatched by one of our trusted suppliers. You’ll be contacted by their selected courier about your delivery.
I love the Cray tasselled velvet cushion for adding texture and a touch of vintage charm to a space. It works particularly well in eclectic or boho interiors, where mixing patterns and textures creates a relaxed yet sophisticated look. For styling, try pairing it with neutral-toned throws or other cushions in velvet or linen to create depth. Its tasselled edging adds an artisan feel, so it’s ideal for layered, curated corners on sofas or armchairs. Practical tip: use it to bring a pop of colour or pattern into more subdued schemes, or to soften modern minimalist sets by contrasting sleek lines with its tactile richness.
