I’m a big fan of this brown book-and-seat unit (I tend to call it the cosy book nook) because it combines storage and a reading spot without taking up extra floor space. The rich, warm finish sits well in both Scandi-inspired rooms and more traditional nurseries, and the simple lines mean it’ll grow with your child rather than date too quickly.
Styling-wise, use the lower cubbies for fabric bins or toy baskets to keep everyday bits tucked away, and face-out a few favourite picture books in the upper sections to encourage little hands to grab them. A soft cushion in a contrasting neutral or muted pastel works best on the seat, while a small framed print or potted plant on one side adds a touch of personality without overcrowding.
