Its generous 240 cm length means it easily seats eight, so it’s perfect for family dinners or entertaining friends. It works equally well in modern-scandi schemes when paired with slim black metal chairs, or in a relaxed farmhouse setting alongside upholstered benches. For styling, keep the surface clear except for a neutral runner and a low greenery-filled bowl, and layer a natural-fibre rug underneath to anchor the space.

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour.
