This grey, blue and white children's rug is a hand tufted, 100 cotton mat with a hippo and butterfly design. The simple and minimalistic style is in keeping with Homescapes range of kid's animal rugs, and offers a fun, soft and clean surface for children to play on. These decorative rugs are machine washable at home, and are also suitable to be used in your bathroom.

I’m a fan of this hippo rug for its playful yet unpretentious look - it brings a touch of fun without overwhelming a room. The soft tufted cotton pile is ideal for little feet and holds up well to everyday use, while the grey and navy palette slots neatly into both bright, colourful nurseries and more muted, Scandi-inspired schemes.
For styling, layer it under a small reading chair or beside a low play table to define a cosy corner. Pair it with simple wooden furniture and accent cushions in teal or mustard to echo the border hues. A non-slip underlay will keep it safely in place.
