Description
The Cotswold range is a classic country styled collection which will suit most styles of home. This real pine tall bookcase is generously proportioned and has 4 shelves allowing plenty of space for all your books and belongings. Three of the shelves are adjustable to suit your requirements and one is fixed. It has a chunky solid pine top with profiled edges for a softer look. The bookcase is finished in an antique wax.

I’m a fan of the Cotswold bookcase in antique wax because its warm, slightly timeworn finish brings texture without shouting for attention. It sits equally well in a country cottage hallway or a pared-back Scandinavian living room, and the slim, tall profile makes it ideal for rooms where you need storage without overwhelming the floor space. To style it, combine books of varying heights with woven baskets on the lower shelves for hidden storage, then add a couple of small pots or framed photos to break up the lines. Leave a little breathing room around each item so the display feels curated rather than cluttered.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
