Description

If entertainment is your thing and you have more DVDs, CDs and Blu-rays than you care to count, the Chester TV and media unit is just the thing to hold all your essential digital devices. Please note: owing to the size and weight of this item, we apply a specialised delivery service. Customers ordering this item will be contacted to arrange delivery by Cotswold's bespoke team. This item can only be delivered to a room of choice on the ground floor of your property (access permitting). Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Chester media unit for its clean shaker lines, soft grey paint and oak-effect top - it sits just as comfortably in a modern farmhouse or Scandi-inspired living room as it does in a traditional cottage scheme. The mix of open shelves and cupboards means you can neatly hide gaming consoles and cables using the cable-port holes, while baskets or boxes on the lower shelves keep clutter out of sight. For styling, work in groups of three or five: a stack of books beside a small plant, a framed print propped against the back panel, and a couple of ceramics to break up the symmetry. A slim console beneath your TV and soft-coloured accessories will keep the look fresh and uncluttered.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
