Description

A hallway full of discarded footwear is not an attractive first impression for visitors to your home. Keep the whole family's shoes neat, tidy and together in pairs in this attractive shoe cupboard. Built to last, behind the panelled doors you'll find enough racking to store sling backs, slippers and sneakers alike. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this dove-grey shoe cupboard because its clean lines and muted shade sit comfortably in anything from coastal and Scandi schemes to more traditional country-style hallways. The adjustable shelves inside mean you can corral everything from trainers to ankle boots, while the solid oak-effect top offers a handy spot for a small tray or a houseplant. For styling, try placing a slim mirror or a piece of framed art above to visually lift the space, and keep the top surface minimal - a ceramic bowl for keys plus a low-profile pot plant or two. If you need extra storage, tuck matching baskets or boots trays underneath, and you’ll have a tidy, welcoming entrance that stays effortlessly on-brand.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
