I’m a fan of the Chester larder in dove grey because its soft, neutral finish and solid oak shelf add warmth without overpowering a room. It works equally well in a modern country kitchen or a pared-back Scandi living area, providing generous concealed storage above and practical drawers below.
For styling, keep the top of the unit simple - a couple of ceramic jugs or woven baskets look good and won’t distract from the clean lines. Inside, mix uniform glass jars with labelled tins for a neat, coordinated look, and use the drawers for smaller bits and bobs to maintain that uncluttered feel.
