Description

Our Cosgrove patterned ceramic table lamp in cobalt blue gives a rustic style and rich colour to any interior space, creating a homely, comforting feel. The ceramic lamp base has an intricate pattern detailing that gives depth to the designs and is finished in a unique cobalt blue colour that gives a fantastic touch of colour the decor. Cosgrove is ideal as a bedside light or as a piece to give a soft pool of illumination to your living room, with the simple white shade diffusing the light for a warmer, more relaxing glow inside of your home.

Our Stylist Says

I love this cobalt blue lamp for its bold colour and textured pattern, which add visual interest without overwhelming a space. It works especially well in contemporary or eclectic interiors, where a pop of colour can anchor a neutral palette. It's versatile enough to sit on a side table in a living room, or as a bedside lamp paired with crisp bedding. For styling, consider combining it with simple accessories or books that pick up the blue tone for a cohesive look. Pairing it with brass or matte black accents can elevate its style, giving your room a polished finish. Overall, it’s a practical piece that combines function with a striking design feature.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
