I’m a fan of this glazed sideboard for its warm oak-effect finish and smart mix of concealed and display storage. It sits comfortably in Scandi-inspired, modern farmhouse or transitional interiors, especially against neutral walls and soft fabrics, and the slim metal handles give it a subtle industrial edge.
For everyday styling, keep the top pared back with a low stack of coffee-table books, a couple of ceramic vases and a small potted plant. In the glazed centre, group a handful of glassware or decorative bowls and add a strip of LED lighting to make the display pop without cluttering the surface.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
