Description

A 1.5m long by 80cm deep dining table suited to 4-6 people and made from responsibly sourced timber and finished in a choice of black wax or grey wax with contrasting antique wax top, providing a fresh, modern look to a classic design. The piece is elevated through a rustic live natural edge on either side of the table top to bring real character to any room. Easy to build, easy to clean and easy on the eye, a statement piece and great value for any dining space. Matching single and double benches available.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this live-edge table because it balances a natural oak top with a sturdy black frame, meaning it feels both warm and durable for everyday use. It sits neatly in industrial lofts, contemporary Scandi schemes or even a pared-back farmhouse kitchen, and the clean lines help it slot into open-plan layouts without overpowering the space. To style, mix in a couple of contrasting chairs - perhaps slim black metal or soft-grey upholstered seats - and anchor it with a simple, low-pile rug in muted tones. Keep accessories minimal: a pair of tapered candlesticks or a shallow ceramic dish works well, and a single pendant light overhead will draw attention to the wood grain. Finish with natural-fibre place mats and let the table’s texture do the talking.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
