Description

Mercers Furniture is happy to offer this Corona Grey Wax 4'6" High End Bed, with a subtle grey wash body that allows the natural grains and textures of the wood to show through it offers a beautiful modern twist on a classic design while retaining all the characteristics that Corona is known and loved for. The double bed is expertly crafted from solid pine and hand waxed to protect, preserve as well as enhance the grain. It offers outstanding value for money that would be a welcome addition to any bedroom, finished off with decorative metal fittings which give the item its distinctive Mexican styling and offers that warm rustic country charm. The item is delivered flat packed for easy home assembly with step-by-step instructions.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this grey-wax bed frame for its neat panelling and muted finish, which give it just enough character without overwhelming a space. The distressed grey tone works brilliantly in both contemporary Scandi or relaxed country schemes, and its solid timber construction means it’ll age well over time. The head and footboard heights balance the proportions of a double mattress, so it never looks too low or overly imposing. To style, I’d layer crisp white linens with a chunky knit throw in a contrasting shade - think deep charcoal or soft clay - to bring out the frame’s subtle warmth. Place simple bedside tables in either light oak or matte black, then top with minimal lamps or a cluster of small potted greenery to keep the look feeling fresh. A textured rug underfoot will anchor the bed and add that extra touch of cosiness.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
