The item is expertly crafted from solid pine and hand waxed to protect, preserve as well as enhance the grain. With 4 drawers it offers outstanding value for money that would be a welcome addition to any home. Finished off with decorative metal fittings which give the item its distinctive Mexican styling and offers that warm rustic country charm. I’m fond of this grey-wax compact chest for its neat proportions and subtly worn finish - it brings a lived-in feel without looking tatty. The pale grey works beautifully in coastal, cottage or Scandi-style schemes and pairs easily with soft linens, wicker baskets or a matte black lamp for contrast. Practically, its slim depth makes it ideal for a hallway or bedroom with limited floor space, while the two smaller top drawers keep little bits to hand and the larger lowers stow bulkier items. To style, hang a round mirror above, place a low vase of dried grasses to one side and a small stack of books on the other.
