Description

The Cornelia oak round dining table is an elegant design with spindle-shaped legs and curved edges that nod to mid-century pieces. Designed in house and made from solid oak and veneers, the table has a clear matt lacquer that protects the wood and showcases its beautiful grain. The dining table is part of the Cornelia range, which includes occasional tables, a large bookcase and a TV stand.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Cornelia 4 Seater Oak Round Dining Table for its simplicity and natural appeal, making it a versatile piece that works well in both contemporary and Scandi-inspired interiors. Its clean lines and light oak finish create a warm, inviting feel without overwhelming the space. This table is ideal for smaller dining areas or breakfast rooms, but can also be styled with modern or rustic chairs for added character. Practical styling tips include pairing it with upholstered seats for comfort or adding a colourful runner to inject personality. To maximise its aesthetic, keep accessories minimal-think simple centrepieces like a vase of fresh flowers or a statement bowl-so the table remains functional yet stylish.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
