Description

The Coralie oak coffee table combines 3 pieces of figured veneer in a design that makes a feature of the wood's beautiful grain. Designed in house and exclusive to Habitat, the table has a matt lacquer for durability and a slender, black powder-coated metal base. The Coralie design is also available in walnut veneer and as a side table.

Our Stylist Says

I love this coffee table for its sleek combination of natural oak veneer and black metal frame, which gives it a contemporary yet warm feel. It works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, as well as in Scandi-inspired spaces where light wood tones are prevalent. Practical styling tips include keeping it clutter-free with a few carefully chosen accessories like a ceramic tray, a small vase, or a stack of books. Because of its neutral palette, it pairs nicely with both light and darker furnishings, making it versatile for various colour schemes. Its low-profile design also encourages a relaxed, welcoming vibe - ideal for social spaces.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
