I really like this black X-frame console for its clean lines and useful storage - the slim drawer keeps small bits out of sight while the two open shelves lend themselves to baskets, books or greenery. It sits just as well behind a sofa in a contemporary living room as it does in a hallway or home office.
For styling, mix in varying heights and textures: a table lamp or sculptural vase on one side, a stack of coffee-table books or woven basket below, and perhaps a small tray for keys or mail. The black finish balances both neutral and brightly coloured accents.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
