Description

Our Concrete Pendant fitting is sure to be a big hit in any modern interior! The simplistic ceiling light has a chunky grey concrete shade which is complemented by stylish copper accents, giving an urban metallic twist to the design. The industrial style pendant light is sure to be a brilliant focal point for any space, giving a bold statement centrepiece to the décor.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant for its sleek, industrial aesthetic combined with a hint of warmth from the copper finish. It works particularly well in modern and minimalist interiors, adding a touch of sophistication without feeling overly formal. I recommend pairing it with neutral colour palettes or against textured walls for visual interest. For practical styling, hang multiple pendants in a row over kitchen islands or dining tables, or use it as a statement piece in a contemporary living space. Its size and finish make it versatile enough to complement both urban city apartments and eclectic, designed-to-impress interiors.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
