Description

Comet Pendant, Chrome

Our Stylist Says

This pendant light is a sleek choice for adding a modern touch to various spaces, thanks to its minimalist chrome finish and shimmering rings. I love how it works well in contemporary interiors like open-plan living areas or dining rooms, where it can act as a focal point. It’s also versatile enough for more subtle upgrades in bedrooms or stylish home offices. Practical styling tips include hanging it at an appropriate height to highlight its design-roughly 30-36 inches above a dining table or sitting area-and pairing it with other chrome and glass accents for a cohesive look. Its streamlined design pairs well with both minimalist and glamourous decor, making it an adaptable statement piece.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
