In the myth of Artemis and Orion, the jealous Gods interfered to trick Artemis to kill Orion. The saddened Goddess made Orion’s memory immortal by placing him as a constellation in the sky, like the scattered color paint on this white bust. This handmade version of Leochares’s Artemis is there to remind us that love rules. The artist created this piece of art with great care to show us that even Goddesses fall for it.
