A rising star on the international design scene, Franco-Swiss designer Julie Richoz pays particular attention to color in her work. For Vitra, she has created Colour Frame, a collection of striking mirrors inspired by building blocks and their possible combinations. Available in three sizes and three chromatic variations, they can be arranged together on the wall horizontally and vertically - like building blocks - to create individual compositions with interacting colors. Their frames are reminiscent of sturdy wooden toys. They are made up of four Wood boards. Each side is painted in a different hue. The color dresses each edge of the frame, bringing a graphic, contemporary dimension to the Mirror. The bottom Shelf can be used as a small shelf to hold small items: such as keys or glasses in an entrance hall, small decorative objects in the living room or beauty products in the bathroom. Like all Julie Richoz creations, Colour Frame mirrors question notions of perspective and depth while playing with light. Colour Frame mirrors are suitable for a wide range of environments: entrance hall, living room, dining room, bathroom. The large Colour Frame mirror is designed for vertical use only. Its imposing dimensions are perfect for entrances or bedrooms.
