Curvy and feminine, the Colby charcoal wool herringbone left arm corner sofa has a padded, wrap around backrest and a feather-topped seat cushion. A luxurious, feather-filled scatter cushion adds an extra level of comfort to the elegant sofa, which is exclusive to Habitat. The Colby design is available in a variety of configurations and a wide choice of fabrics and colours.
Our Stylist Says
I really like this sofa for its versatile and contemporary appeal, especially in both modern and transitional interiors. The charcoal wool herringbone fabric adds texture and depth, making it a great anchor piece in a living room. Its left-arm corner design maximises seating without overwhelming the space, which is ideal for open-plan areas. To style around it, consider pairing with lighter or patterned cushions to add visual interest and soften the look, or introduce contrasting throws for added comfort. Practical tip: its neutral dark tone helps hide minor stains, making it a practical choice for households with children or pets. Overall, it’s a stylish, functional piece that can adapt easily to a range of decor schemes.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
