Description
TIPTOE has joined forces with Archives Yves Klein to create an exclusive collection of limited-edition pieces. The pieces are stamped and screen-printed in Klein Blue. This collaboration celebrates the 95th birthday of French artist Yves Klein. A major artist of the 20th Century, Yves Klein has made his mark on history with a material-colour that has become legendary: An ultramarine blue of incomparable intensity which is, according to the artist, "the most perfect expression of blue" and which he uses as a vehicle for his quest for infinity and immateriality. This inventions, which he named "IKB" (International Klein Blue) characterises many of his pieces, including his monochrome work. To showcase this legendary blue, TIPTOE has spent many months working tirelessly to formulate a colour that does justice to the intensity of Yves Klein's blue, which required countless tests in order to get just the right formulation. Composed of a stained solid oak tabletop and three 43 cm steel legs, the BROOKLYN coffee tabletop offers a minimalist look and, thanks to its tidy diameter of 90 cm, it can easily adapt into any interior style. The wood used is sourced from sustainably managed European forests (PEFC label). The table comes disassembled in flat packaging, which limits its carbon footprint during transport.
