Description

Exquisitely handcrafted in Jaipur, India by a team of skilled artisans, our Classic Mother of Pearl Inlay chest of drawers emits artisan quality synonymous with exotic G&G style. Crafted from sustainable mango wood, individual pieces of mother of pearl have been lovingly hand carved and fixed into grey resin to create a beautiful floral design. Featuring two wide drawers, ideal for storing your larger belongings, and a further two smaller drawers that are perfect for organising your accessories.

Our Stylist Says

I love this traditional style with a contemporary twist. The grey mother of pearl finish adds a touch of subtle luxury, making it versatile for both classic and modern interiors. It works particularly well in coastal, boho, or eclectic spaces where its intricate detailing can be showcased. To style it effectively, consider pairing with soft textiles or natural woods to highlight its jewellery-like surface, and keep the surroundings relatively minimal to let this statement piece shine. Practical tips include using it in bedrooms for plenty of storage or in living areas as a focal point with decorative accessories placed on top for added visual interest.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
