Description

A classic stripe, this fabric is suitable for both contemporary and traditional interiors. Because it's made just for you... As this product is made to order according to your requirements the image above is there as a guide and may not be representative of the finished item. We've reproduced the product as best we can but pattern placement and texture of the fabric will vary depending on your measurements. If the width of your window is greater than the specified width of this fabric we'll join pieces together and pattern match the seams. Made by us at our textile factory in Lancashire Since 1953, our expert Partners have designed and manufactured a range of high-quality textiles at our UK factory, Herbert Parkinson. This includes our naturally filled bedding and our Made to Measure service for curtains, blinds and cushions. Combining traditional handmade processes with state-of-the-art technology, our skilled Partners see each product through the entire creation process, ensuring it meets the design and quality standards we're known for. It takes up to 17 Partners to make a pair of curtains or a roman blind as each is experienced in a particular part of the process, including everything from cutting and joining, to pinning and hemming, to inspecting and packing. You can be assured that your curtains or blind are being made by true experts. We want you to be as proud of it as we are.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this fabric because it offers a classic yet versatile look that can work well in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The bold stripes in warm, earthy tones lend a cosy feel, making it perfect for living rooms or bedrooms where you want to create a inviting atmosphere. As it’s made to measure, it ensures a perfect fit, while the combination of curtains and Roman blind gives flexibility in controlling light and privacy. For styling, I’d suggest pairing it with neutral wall colours and minimal accessories to let the pattern stand out, or add some textured cushions in complementary shades for a layered, cohesive look. This fabric is practical too, thanks to its dual functionality, making it a smart choice for spaces where practicality and style matter equally.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
