I’m a fan of this open rail for its clean lines and warm brown shelves, which slot effortlessly into Scandi-style, industrial or minimalist schemes. It works well in a bedroom, dressing area or hallway where you need both hanging space and display shelving.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
